Daily Schedule

School Hours:  8:00-2:35

7:00  Early Morning Extended Day
7:40  School Doors open to students eating breakfast
7:45  School Doors open to all other students
7:45-8:00  Arrival (Students arriving after 8:00 will be tardy.)
  • Students eating breakfast will be escorted from the bus and carpool drop off areas to the cafeteria by 5th grade patrols under the supervision of an adult.
  • Students who are not eating breakfast will be escorted from the bus and carpool drop off areas to their homeroom teacher’s classroom.
  • Students who arrive earlier will not be under the supervision of an adult from RCSA.

 Elementary Carpools ONLY (NO MIDDLE/HIGH STUDENTS)

 Bus riders, Extended Day students, and Mixed Carpool riders escorted to designated waiting areas.

 

Cafeteria:

  • Bus riders will sit at the designated table for their buses and board around 2:55. ◦Elementary students must sit in the front 3 rows and have assigned seats.  If there are older siblings, the sibling can chose to ride in the front.
  • Mixed Carpool riders with Middle/High carpool siblings will sit in the cafeteria and be escorted to the Middle/High school carpool area at 2:55.
  • Club & Tutoring students will be picked up at the cafeteria by their assigned teacher at 2:55 and taken to their club/tutoring location.
  • Extended Day Students: (Activity schedule will be sent home the 1st week of school.)
  • K-2 will be in the 1st floor activity room.
  • 3-5 will be in the 2nd floor activity room.
  • 3:45-3:55              Clubs and Tutoring Carpool
  • Students will be escorted from clubs and tutoring to the Elementary Carpool area.
  • 5:45                        Building closed for the night.
  • By law, we are required to call the authorities for any children who are not picked up by the closing time.
  • If you are running late due to traffic, please call the school to notify the Extended Day Coordinator.

Please NOTE:

Early Checkouts & Tardies: ◦In order for a student to be checkout early:

  1. An ID must be shown.
  2. Appropriate documentation showing the necessity for the check-out is provided.
  3. The adult picking the child up must have been previously approved by the parent/guardian.
  • If a student exceeds the number of excused/unexcused tardies or absences without official documentation, DCPS will step in to handle the truancy.
