Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater celebrated ‪‎Financial Literacy at RCSA

On Thursday, April 28, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater paid a visit to RCSA. Currently, Mr. Atwater has a team developing an online Financial Literacy curriculum that was tested out with a focus group of select RCSA high school students. These students spent time beta testing the financial literacy modules before providing feedback to the developers of the curriculum about the formatting and application of the material from a student’s perspective. During his visit, he explored an engineering project in our high school art classroom, he participated in a number of the Science Olympiad team projects, and sat in on classes in Civics, Language Arts, and Biology. Mr. Atwater's Financial Literacy curriculum hopes to be up and running for students in the state of Florida soon, thanks to the help and input from RCSA students.
